HD Digital Radio: Ramp Up Your Writing Inspiration

September 20th 2008 10:39

Need a Bit of Musical Inspiration? Try HD Digital Radio

Music can be a real source of inspiration for writers, artists, and other creative people. Many find that listening to their favorite music while they work sets the appropriate atmosphere to enhance their intellectual and perceptual abilities, stimulate their imaginations, focus their minds, and fuel their inner urge to create. And, while artistic people have been creating to music for years, with the advent of such modern, state-of-the-art HD digital radio systems as the Jensen JiMS 525i, there's never been a better time for enjoying top-quality sound in your home or office.

HD Radio Advantages and Options

Upgrading to HD digital radio can provide many advantages over traditional, analog radio, including better sound clarity, greater convenience, and easy building of your music library through iTunes Tagging. With an iTunes Tagging enabled HD Radio™ receiver, you can quickly and easily tag your favorite songs as soon as you hear them on the radio, conveniently marking them for later purchase and download from iTunes® to your iPod®.

If you live in the U.S., you'll also be able to search for new music stations on the HD radio website, by using the drop-down menu, which lists the stations by city and state. Many HD stations are also offering added HD2 and HD3 channels, which are subscription-free, making it even easier for you to surround yourself with that inspiration that comes from the magic of music.

Price vs. Quality of Life

HD digital radio receivers come in various types, including clock radios and compact desk systems with or without iPod® docks. And while the cost of some such systems can be fairly significant, the JiMS 525i is quite reasonably priced. Offering numerous great features, this system's cost-to-benefit ratio is a solid one, and people whose music systems are an important expenditure for their quality of life will likely find this one well worth the cost.

To your inspiration!

Hi Jeannie, music actually moves your brain waves and can benefit your writing, so you offer valuable advice here.

As I worked on my doctoral thesis, I found that Mozart keep the flow going even if I wasn't truly inspired when I sat down. The rhythms of baroque music actually help your focus and concentration.

You offer good advice about enhanced HD music leads me to consider this digital option.

Robyn,

Thanks for sharing the scientific info about music and brain waves! I've often heard the statement, "Music makes you more intelligent." While I don't know whether that's literally true, there's little question that music can make us more creative. And, for all intents and purposes, by enhancing our focus and concentration and fueling our imagination, it can obviously help us use our intelligence to its greatest advantage.

Thanks so much for the visit!
Jeanne

Jeanne, it is incredible how many options exist to access music these days. Internet radio enables people to listen to their favorite station no matter where in the physical world they may be. It is no longer necessary to listen to a particular radio station in particular geographic place. We are changing our spatial relationships with what we perceive. We our expanding emotional and other kinds of intelligence. We experience differently.

Liara,

So true! It's absolutely incredible just how much we have access to these days through the "miracle" of modern technology. And it seems as if the list grows longer every day! Cell phones, GPS devices, satellite TV, HD digital radio, and the granddaddy of them all--the Internet--offer amazing opportunities to connect with people, places, products, information, entertainment--you name it.

Music will always be popular, and HD digital radio makes it easier than ever for music lovers to enjoy their favorite style. We are definitely closing the geographical distance gap--and this is certainly a good thing! This global connectivity provides so many benefits that we could never have anticipated--or even imagined--just a few short years ago.

Thanks so much for the comment!
Jeanne
